Conversions
result in new nouns, adjectives and verbs, simply by giving
a word an additional job to do ( e.g. using a noun as a verb).
This is happening frequently today.
Examples
are:

Mobile has meant moveable since the C15th,

gave 'to empty' (and 'empties', a noun meaning empty
bottles etc.) |

run gave 'a run' in cricket, the act of running
(going for a run) and a short trip out. |
